This executive will oversee culinary strategy, research and development, quality assurance, product commercialization, and operational implementation across multiple locations.

The opportunity

  • Partner with the celebrity chef, founders, and executive leadership to define and execute the culinary vision.
  • Lead Research and Development and Quality Assurance while building a high-performing culinary organization.
  • Own the full product-development process from ideation and testing through commercialization, launch, and optimization.
  • Develop new dishes, seasonal offerings, beverages, and other culinary initiatives.
  • Protect and continuously improve core menu items while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Create scalable recipes, preparation standards, yields, specifications, and kitchen systems.
  • Establish quality-assurance standards, auditing programs, and corrective-action procedures across locations.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Training, Marketing, Finance, and Development.
  • Evaluate food costs, pricing, margins, sourcing, equipment, and operational feasibility.
  • Collaborate with supplier partners on ingredient development, testing, specifications, and commercialization.
  • Support new restaurant openings, including kitchen readiness, training, tastings, mock services, and launch execution.
  • Conduct restaurant visits, line checks, tastings, and operational evaluations.
  • Present culinary plans, product recommendations, budgets, timelines, and results to executive leadership.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop culinary leaders while creating advancement pathways.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence in test kitchens, restaurants, production facilities, and commissary operations.

What the role requires

  • At least seven years of senior culinary-leadership experience within a multi-unit, luxury, chef-driven, or international restaurant organization.
  • Experience as a Head of Culinary, Vice President of Culinary, Corporate Executive Chef, Culinary Director, Executive Chef, or comparable leader.
  • Demonstrated success leading menu innovation, R&D, product launches, recipe implementation, and commercialization.
  • Proven experience developing culinary products and systems for execution across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, production management, kitchen operations, and culinary systems.
  • Experience supporting new restaurant openings and expansion into new markets.
  • Demonstrated success building, coaching, and developing high-performing culinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of food costs, pricing, margins, purchasing, inventory, labor, and restaurant profitability.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Training, Marketing, Finance, and Development.
  • Professional culinary training or equivalent expertise developed through substantial hands-on experience.
  • Strong project-management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, markets, and launch timelines.
  • Experience working with a celebrity chef, founder-led organization, international group, or culinary brand is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel regularly to restaurants, new markets, supplier facilities, and opening locations.
  • Experience adapting an international concept for the U.S. market is beneficial.

  • Base salary of $170,000 annually.
